If we don't know where we're going, we'll probably get there.

Undertaking effective action in the world requires more
than the wish to do so, and wish is already a big thing.
Holding a sense of the overall, of the big picture, is necessary.
Then, we need to know:

i) where we are;
ii) where we are going;
iii) what we have to do to get there;
iv) what resources are available to get us there.

And fundamental: which Master do we serve?

Expectation is the prediction that history will repeat itself, exactly, precisely.

Understanding is simple. Knowing is complicated.
